  Cape Charles is s lovely cruising spot and a great jump on the coast headed north or south. Restaurants are fgreat, people friendly and full of interesting history. Cruise Cape Charles.

  The boat rocked all night like a roller coaster. Hard to sleep or get any rest. All Sunday was followed up by a water pump going off all day which made a lot of noise. The restraunt close to the marina plays loud music until 2am followed up by loud employees in the parking with lots banging the dumpster. Stay away or go to kings marina which is much nice and protected from the wind. Or skip cape charles all together because their is not much to do.

  Despite their recent bad press, the Town Harbor is doing just fine. Yes, the fixed docks are a little old, and the docks on the wall by the Coast Guard station are a little rundown, but that's to be expected. Many of the local workboats use that side of the marina and day in and out are tossing crab pots and fish totes on the docks and doing maintenance to their vessels. It's a heavily traveled dock by people trying to make a living. The showers and heads are cleaned daily, and are in great shape. The office is well-stocked for anything a transient may need for small repairs and maintenance. The floating docks are great, but it can be rocky given the lack of protection from the Bay. The staff works hard every day, and are always there to help tie up a boat. You won't find them sitting around on a work day. One of the better-maintained marinas I've stayed at from Florida-Va.

  The boat rocked like a roller coaster with only 10knots of wind. The rocking made it hard to sleep. All sun day was loud during the day with a pump from some guys doing antifoiling paint test. At night it was the loud music from the shanty until 2am then the employees beating the dumpsters. At 5am the onslot of power boat flying by and making wake. The work boats were the worst offenders. If you want a place to relax the skip cape charles town marina and go some where else. Kings/oyster point marina is great, quit and out of the wind. The town it's self is great but the town marina gets a 1 out of 10.
